PDP Appoints Caretaker Committee In Zamfara [Full List]

The management of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accepted the appointment of a caretaker committee to manage the get together in Zamfara State.

Naija Information studies that the get together appointed the committee in pursuant to Part 29(2)(b) of the PDP Structure 2017 (as amended).

This was made identified in an announcement signed by the Nationwide Spokesman of the get together, Kola Ologbondiyan.

These within the committee are Captain Umar Bature (chairman), Yusuf L. Dabazzau (secretary), Farouk Shettima Rijiya (member), Bamo Abdullahi Kanoma (member), Muhammadu Dan Gwanma Gumi (member), Usamatu Maharazu Marafa (member), Bala Mohammed Zurmi (member), Sani Ahmed Kaura (member), Medinah Shehu (girl) and Abba Bello Oando (Youth).

The PDP mentioned the “caretaker committee is to supervise the affairs of our get together in Zamfara State for a interval of no more than 90 days or till when a brand new state EXCO is elected in step with the provisions of the PDP Structure 2017 (as amended).

“All party leaders, critical stakeholders, teeming members and supporters of our party in Zamfara State are urged to remain united as we collectively reclaim our stolen governorship mandate and move forward.”

Recall that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP had on the 28 of June 2021, dissolved the Zamfara State executives of the get together.

The sack of the state executives was associated to the drama surrounding the defection of the Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The Nationwide Working Committee, NWC, has accepted the dissolution of the Zamfara State Govt of the get together in step with the supply of Part 29 (2)(b) of the PDP Structure 2017 (as amended).

“All party leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming members of our party in Zamfara state should, by this, be guided accordingly,” Ologbondiyan acknowledged.
