Eligibility for the Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship
- The Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship is open to Home/EU and overseas applicants.
- Applicants for Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship are expected to have an exceptional academic record, usually, a 2.1 or first in their undergraduate degree, and must generally possess or expect to be presented a Merit or Distinction in their Master’s Degree.
- New applicants to the MPhil/Ph.D. program (new admissions, starting in September 2022), must
- Have gotten a firm offer to study by the time the Scholarship Panel meets to discuss applications.
- Have confirmed in the research proposal of their application for admission that their research is in the field of Indian art from 1500 up to the present day. Preference will be particular to those who undertake research in the field of modern and contemporary Indian art.
- Meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 2 June 2022. If your offer is conditional on English, kindly arrange your English test and confirm you meet the English requirements as soon as possible.
