An English public university created in Northampton, Northamptonshire, is the University of Northampton.

The University of Northampton was formed in 1999 after several training colleges merged into a single institution.

Since then, Northampton Technical College has been housed at its current location on St George’s Ave.

However, it took the Yorks eight years after the completion of the original building to officially launch the second one. Later that year, an art school was established.

As early as the 1970s, Northamptonshire was one of only a handful of English counties without a formal teacher-training institution.

An institution of higher education in Liverpool was relocated to what is now the Park Campus after it was forced to relocate from its original location.

Margaret Thatcher, the Secretary of State for Education and Science, opened the College of Education in 1972.

Nene College of Higher Education, named after the Nene River, was formed in 1975 when this college merged with the Colleges of Technology and Art.

The Leather Selling College in London was integrated in 1978.

In the academic year 2019/20, the institution had a total of 12,060 students enrolled on its two campuses.

As a whole, it’s divided into four departments: the Faculty of Business & Law; the Faculty of Arts & Sciences; and the Faculty of Health & Society.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees, the university offers a wide range of postgraduate options, including a Ph.D. program.

At the UnLtd/HEFCE ‘Dare to be Different’ national conference in June 2011, the university was awarded the ‘The Outstanding HEI Supporting Social Entrepreneurship Award.’

In recognition of its involvement in social enterprise, it was also named the Midlands most ‘Enterprising University of the Year’ in 2011 and 2012.

When Ashoka U. named Northampton a “Changemaker Campus” in February 2013, the university received international recognition for its dedication to social innovation and entrepreneurship.

In addition, Northampton is one of 21 campuses worldwide in the Ashoka network.

The Students’ Union is based in the renovated Engine Shed on the Waterside Campus.

Also, this building is a café and food place during the day. The Platform, a performance space in the heart of town, is also housed in the Union.

A café and conference center is open to the public throughout the daytime hours of operation.

At night, the venue transforms into a nightclub with three floors and student workers on staff.

All events at the facility are student-only during the week, however, the arena opens to the general public on the weekends for a variety of annual events.
